TV actress, author, speaker, and pastor’s wife, Nancy Stafford is familiar to millions as Andy Griffith’s law partner, Michelle, on TV’s “Matlock”. An actress for 25 years, she’s starred in several TV Movies and been a series regular on six television shows, including 5 years on “Matlock” and 3 years on the Emmy-winning “St. Elsewhere”. She’s had recent appearances on “The Mentalist”, “ER”, and “Frasier”, for 10 years hosted the fashion/lifestyle series “Main Floor”, and co-hosts the weekly series “Love, Marriage, and Stinking Thinking” with Mark Gungor. airing on TBN, Sky Angel, and other Christian networks. Her film, “The Wager”, co-starring Randy Travis, was recently released on DVD.

Her first book, Beauty by the Book: Seeing Yourself as God Sees You (Multnomah), now in it’s sixth printing, was called “one of the most valuable Christian books to be published in decades” (Assist News Service). Author and Bible teacher, Beth Moore, calls her latest book, The Wonder of His Love: A Journey into the Heart of God (Multnomah) “like a warm embrace from God Himself.”

Her love for the Middle East led her to host the TV specials “Where Heaven and Earth Meet”, for the state of Israel. and “On Wings of Eagles” and “Operation Isaiah 58″ for the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, to help care for and relocate tens of thousands of Jews from the former Soviet Union to Israel. She has been a frequent guest on “700 Club”, “100 Huntley Street”, “Praise the Lord”, “Focus on the Family”, “New Life Live”, “Revive Our Hearts”, and “Family Life Today.”

Off the screen Nancy serves on the US Board of SAT-7, a Christian Satellite television network with programming developed and produced by and for Christians in the Middle East and North Africa. Each week 9 million people watch SAT-7, broadcasting 24/7 on three channels in Arabic, Turkish, and Farsi languages. She serves on the Advisory Boards of Hollywood Connect –a ministry that offers spiritual and practical resources and guidance for young film and television professionals arriving in Hollywood, Biola University Studio Task Force, Damah Film Festival Reference Board, The Dove Foundation, and Westside Pregnancy Resource Center.

A former Miss Florida in the Miss America Pageant, Nancy is a journalism graduate of the University of Florida. In New York she modeled with the Ford Agency and appeared in over 250 commercials before beginning her acting career.

Nancy’s husband, Larry Myers, a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, has been a pastor and worship leader since 1975 when he helped establish the original Vineyard Christian Fellowship, and has helped plant three other churches in the Los Angeles area.

Nancy and Larry have been married for 19 years; she is step-mom to beautiful Katie, and grandma to precious 7-year-old Blake.
