Book Debora Coty.

A popular speaker, internationally published magazine writer, columnist and inspirational author, Debora is dedicated to the pursuit of spiritual growth. Her gift is humor and her passion is sharing the joy of the Lord.

Debora’s speaking style is girl-to-girl (or guy!), energetic, and hilariously anecdotal. With her unique blend of wit and near-wisdom, she’s a plain-talking gal who doesn’t lollygag around hot topics like enduring marriage, embarrassing children and aging grossfully (er, that is, gracefully). Through much laughter and a few tears, Debora transforms profound biblical truths into applicable tools that help increase faith and encourage spiritual development in the trenches of real life. Her audiences span from teens to octogenarians; themes range anywhere from defeating the joy-sucking dully-funks to keeping Christ in Christian holidays to creating poppies from poopies (finding good in the bad).

With a diverse background in Bible teaching, medical and business fields, Debora is skilled in interacting with both faith-firmly-rooted and secular/seeker audiences.

After God’s still, small voice whispered, “It’s time,” at age 45, Debora began pursuing her childhood dream of writing. Within five years she was blessed with more than 80 published articles and 11 book contracts. She considers herself the poster child for late bloomers and embodies the message that it’s never too late to chase the dreams that Papa God implants in your heart.

Debora is the award-winning author of Mom Needs Chocolate: Hugs, Humor and Hope for Surviving Motherhood and co-author of Heavenly Humor for the Woman’s Soul. She penned two inspirational YA historical novels, The Distant Shore and Billowing Sails, two devotionals, Everyday Hope and Prayers for Daughters, and is co-author of Grit for the Oyster: 250 Pearls of Wisdom for Aspiring Writers. She has also contributed to numerous anthologies and devotionals.

With her two children reaped and harvested, Debora lives and loves in Tampa with her husband, Chuck, and desperately wicked pooch, Fenway.
