Book Veronica Karaman.

At the age of five, Veronica began her golf career and her quest to become a champion. She soon found herself driven to succeed in golf and academic achievement, and striving for perfection in all other areas of her life. Yet, all her trophies and triumphs couldn’t fill the void in her heart. At fifteen, her father’s death only fueled her need to become a champion.

During her junior year of college at Duke University, at the height of her career as a scholarship athlete, Veronica met the ultimate Champion, Jesus Christ, and made Him her Lord and Savior. She discovered that being a champion is not a trophy you achieve, but an identity you receive in Christ. He set her free to find her priceless worth in God’s love, rather than in performance. Veronica cultivated the values of a real champion: unconditional love, acceptance, and strength of character. Set free to play the game, God led her to her career highlight of playing in the 1989 Women’s U.S. Open, where she witnessed to many as God’s ambassador.

Soon after, Veronica realized God was calling her to help others to become true champions. In 1991, she established Veronica Karaman Ministries, Inc., a teaching and discipling ministry, to spread her inspirational and equipping message through seminars, workshops, courses, and keynote presentations nationwide.

Her teaching ministry to students expanded in 1993 when she published a 7-lesson curriculum, God’s Way to an A. Designed to help Christian students grow spiritually and excel academically, the course quickly became a highly valued study resource for high school and university students, and Veronica’s most sought after presentations.

In 1997, she wrote the inspirational book, A Quiet Clap: Life Lessons Appreciating God and Golf, a faith-sharing tool for golf enthusiasts.

Veronica received her M.A. in Communication, and M.A. in Biblical Studies, both summa cum laude, from Regent University, and a B.A. in Management Science, magna cum laude, from Duke University. In addition to being fully credentialed for ministry, Veronica is a certified life coach with Transformational Leadership Coaching, Inc. She has won numerous scholarships, honors, and awards including: Who’s Who in America, Regent University’s Most Outstanding Student Award, and Trinity College’s Genuine Hero Award.

Veronica is currently an adjunct professor at Regent University.

Through her teaching and writing, Veronica achieves her mission to help others find freedom through Christ from performance orientation—to be the champions God has called them to be—on the course, in the classroom and in life.
