Book Jennie Afman Dimkoff.
Jennie Afman Dimkoff is a motivational Speaker, trainer and storyteller, traveling widely throughout the US, Canada, and abroad, speaking for women’s retreats and conferences. She has spoken for various arena events, including Heritage Keepers and Time out for Women, and has been privileged to share the platform in ministry Point of Grace, Sandi Patti, Kim Hill, Kathy Trocolli, Cheri Keaggy, and many others. She is the President of Storyline Ministries, Inc., the author and storyteller for Kids’ Time, and serves on the staff of Speak Up With Confidence Seminars with her sister, author Carol Kent, team teaching with both the Original and Advanced Speak Up Seminar staff. Jennie has a BA degree in Management and Organizational Development with a minor in speech and drama.
Jennie’s first two books, Night Whispers, Bedtime Bible Stories for Women, and More Night Whispers were released in hardcover by Fleming H. Revell. Night Whispers has been translated into German internationally. Both books have been released in paperback with the addition of 10-week Bible studies under the new titles: Passionate Faith, and Unexpected Grace. Both may be ordered from her website, www.storylineministries.com.
A gifted storyteller, Jennie has stories published by numerous other publishing houses including NAV Press, Honor Books, Cook Communications, and Zondervan.
Passionate about women’s ministries, Jennie helped establish the annual Cornerstone University Women’s Leadership Conference and assisted in developing the curriculum for the women’s cognate on the seminary level at the Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. She has worked with many women’s ministry leaders around the country, both as a speaker for their organizations, and as a mentor, and encourager. She serves on the national advisory board of AWSA, the Advanced Writer and Speakers’ Association, is a member of the Board of Trustees for Cornerstone University and the Grand Rapids Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, Michigan, She also serves on the board of Speak Up for Hope a non-profit organization that encourages the families of incarcerated individuals, and on the Board of Directors for RBC Ministries.
A most meaningful addition to her speaking schedule has been the frequent opportunity to speak for college audiences for various university events. She has spoken for Campus Crusade outreach events at the University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan University, Michigan State University, and she laughingly admits that after years of speaking for “polite church women” at retreats and conferences around the country, it was quite a personal growth experience to speak to young, interactive, mixed gender, intellectual audiences that sometimes “yell back at me!”
“If anyone had told me that I would be doing this ten years ago, I wouldn’t have believed, them,” she says with a huge smile. “I would have turned and run! But after that first CRU meeting at UofM when 23 students responded to Christ, I was hooked. After that, when the invitations came, I just kept saying ‘Yes,’ again, and again, and again….”
Jennie also has spoken at Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon and at Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY. It has been particularly meaningful to have the opportunity to speak to young university women and to challenge them to use their potential for Christ’s Kingdom.
Married to her best friend, Probate Court Judge Graydon Dimkoff, Jennie is mom to their two grown children, Amber and Josh. She has a heart for God, and a passion to win other to Christ.
